I'm putting my 1994 Ford Explorer up for sale. The condition is fair to good. 181,324 miles on it, 2 wheel drive, automatic transmission, V6 engine.
The body is good and straight, has some rust around the rocker panels and wheelwells.
Glass is good, no cracks. Never involved in an accident. Has some dents in the bumper, etc.
Engine and transmission operate well. The interior is in very good condition,, with the exception of the tear on the side of the driver's seat edge (see photos). It has not been smoked in.
I will list the faults I am aware of, no need to waste anyone's time with surprises:
The fuel gauge stays on empty. Probably the sender.
Has a small antifreeze leak after coming up to operating temperature, appears to be around the lower radiator hose.
Driver's side passenger window needs a new regulator, it will come down from vibration during driving,
Passenger front door does not open from the outside, passenger rear door needs a new handle for the inside.
I have parts for the door latches (handles and rod clips) for the doors, just didn't get around to putting them on. They are still in their packaging, and will be included with the vehicle.
The fuel pump may be a little weak. I have found that, particularly after sitting for a long time, I need to cycle the ignition to "on" twice, to properly pressurize the system when starting.
No spare tire, just the rim for it.
This does have a towing package, and I have been using this vehicle to tow our Jetskis to the lake.
Please look at the pictures and contact me for further info or to check it out.
